In My Mailbox (January 8)

In My Mailbox (IMM) was started over at the The Story Siren by Kristie and has evolved to over 300 participating blogs.  It is a way for bloggers to network and socialize and to show everyone the various books that they have received.

I haven't participated in In My Mailbox in well over a month. The holiday season was keeping me hopping (unfortunately, not always through blogs)! I thought about going back and listing every book I received since the last time I participated, but that was too much. I am only listing the books I received during the last week, especially since I am very excited about them. I might feature the other books during a week when I didn't receive any other books.

Without further adieu, here are the books I received this week!

I am very, very excited about the following books! All of these books I received from NetGalley for review. I am including a link to Goodreads so you can check them out for yourselves.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi--Goodreads Link
Slide by Jill Hathaway--Goodreads Link
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows--Goodreads Link
Everneath by Brodi Ashton--Goodreads Link

And finally, I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever!

Anew: The Archers of Avalon by Chelsea Fine--Goodreads Link

That is my week in a nutshell. Please leave a link to your IMM in the comment section and I will stop by and check it out.

In My Mailbox (10)

I did not get any books this week, though I did put in about 6-7 requests at NetGalley. I have a huge TBR list, so no books is probably a good thing! I hope everyone else had a great book week! Have fun reading everyone!

In My Mailbox (8)

In My Mailbox (IMM) is a weekly meme that was started over at the The Story Siren by Kristie and has evolved to over 300 participating blogs.  It is a way for bloggers to network and socialize and to show everyone the various books that they received, either in the mail, from the library or from their local bookseller.

I took last week off because I didn't get any new books, surprisingly. But I went to Half-Price Books today, and I really wish I had a million dollars to spend. They had a TON of books. Normally, they don't have much, especially in the Young Adult section, but this week they had so many books I wanted that I had to force myself to only get a few. Fortunately, I took in a couple of cookbooks I never use and I got a pretty decent credit.

So, this week I got:

Night Pleasures/Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon

This is the first and second book in the Dark-Hunter series. I know so many people that have read these books and they are always telling me to read them, so I finally got a couple.

Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Dark-Hunter #3)

Dead until Dark by Charlaine Harris. I love True Blood, so I decided maybe I should finally read the books.

The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross (I love this cover!)

Beauty Queens by Libba Bray

And from the library, Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan

That is my mailbox this week. What did you get this week?  Leave a post in the comments with a link and I will drop by and check it out. And don't forget to enter my 150 Follower Giveaway!

It was a pretty busy week around my house in the book department!

Netgalley Books (on my Kindle):
A week or so ago, I reviewed Lord of the Vampires. It was a fun, adult read. I don't read books like that very often, but I really enjoyed it. So while perusing Netgalley earlier this week, I found the second, third and fourth books in the series, so I requested them and I was approved. Nothing is more fun than reading a guilty pleasure book!

Lord of Rage by Jill Monroe (Kindle)

Lord of the Wolfyn by Jessica Anderson (Kindle)

Lord of the Abyss by Nalini Singh (Kindle)

From the library:
All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin (Paperback)

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (Paperback). This book looks incredibly creepy and I can't wait to read it!

From Amazon (thank you Amazon credits!):
Beautiful Darkness (Beautiful Creatures Book 2) by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl   (Paperback)

Fragile Eternity (Wicked Lovely Book 3) by Melissa Marr (Paperback)

Radiant Shadows (Wicked Lovely Book 4) by Melissa Marr (Paperback)

And finally, I won this book from Christin at Portrait of a Book. Thanks Christin!
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Phew! Busy week! While you are here, enter to win an ebook of Crossroads by Mary Ting. This contest runs through September 28th. You can read my review of the book tomorrow!

Have a great week everyone!

This week I have 4 books in my mailbox, all on my Kindle!

Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (NetGalley/Kindle)

Math for Grown-ups by Laura Laing (Kindle)--don't laugh! I sometimes struggle with math (it was my worst subject in school). I also work at a junior high and I am friends with math teachers. This was free and I thought it might have some interesting stuff in it.

Anathema (Cloud Prophet Trilogy) by Megg Jensen (Kindle)--isn't the cover gorgeous?

Into the Shadows (Into the Shadows Trilogy) by Karly Kirkpatrick (Kindle)

I am seriously addicted to free books for my Kindle. I cannot stop "buying" them! I follow Kindle Tips and Tricks on Facebook and they post links to free books all the time. I'm hooked. It may turn me into a hermit because I will have so many books on my TBR list that I won't be able to leave the house!

I did not get any new books this week. I can't believe it. Nothing from NetGalley, nothing for my Kindle, nothing new. I'm sort of sad, but at the same time, it shortens my TBR list!

I hope some of you got some good books this last week!

Not all of my books will be from my mailbox either, some might be from NetGalley (digital copies), and some might be for my Kindle. And of course, I will always include physical copies of books I have actually acquired.

I seriously thought I had not received or bought any books this week. Sort of surprised me. So I checked my email and lo and behold, there was a book! I also bought a book for my Kindle this morning and my daughter brought home a book from the library she wants me to read.

Becoming (Daughters of Saraqael Trilogy) by Raine Thomas--Kindle (I love this cover by the way!)

Waking Hours by Lis Wiehl--NetGalley, Kindle

And finally, The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson--Library book my daughter brought home and she wants me to read it.

This week I got only galleys from NetGalley and Kindle books.  So here's what's in my mailbox this past week.

Waterfall:  A Novel (River of Time Series) by Lisa T. Bergren—Kindle

Meant to Be by Tiffany King—Kindle

Firelight by Sophie Jordan—Kindle

The Black Stiletto by Raymond Benson—Netgalley

Night Walker by Lisa Kessler—Netgalley

Double by Jenny Valentine—Netgalley

Hmmm, interesting collection if I do say so myself!  Night Walker is definitely not a YA book, if you couldn't tell by the cover.  I can't wait to read these books!
