This week's question for Follow Friday:

"Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep revisiting it?"

Ok, my answer is Twilight. I kind of cringed when I saw this question, because I know that there are a lot of people out there who "hate Twilight." And inevitably I get comments about how awful it is, how this it is, how that it is. Well, this is my blog and I am going to be honest. I love this series. I have read each book 7 times. And I feel like each time, I find something new. I never get tired of it. There is just something in this series of books that calls to me and pulls me in. I can't explain it, I don't even try. There is just something about this story I love. It's funny that this question came up, because I was just looking at my bookshelf yesterday (gazing at my 4 copies of each book I have) and thinking that I needed to re-read them. It's been too long.

The newest series I have become enamored with is The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I love it! It gives me the same lost in another world feeling that I get when I read my Twilight books. I have read it twice, but I know that I will read it again and again.

  1. I've reread Twilight but haven't gotten around to TMI.
To find out which books I return to and to follow me back (I’m following you now from Follow Friday) check out My Follow Friday post

  2. I'm not a huge fan of Twilight but I have watched the movies and read the books thanks to my 17 yr old daughter. New Follower.

  3. I haven't actually even made it through all of the Twilight books. I'm so late!

  4. I can't blame you for saying Twilight (or cringing about it) since it's definitely a love or hate series. I think I love the first three books, and then as soon as Breaking Dawn came out I sort've fell closer to the 'hate' side and have been corrupted since then. I did enjoy The Mortal Instruments series, but these days I feel like I need to reread them just because I read them too fast!

  5. Hey! happy friday! i'm a follower here, just hopping by! :)

i'd love it if you'd stop by my blog!

AND if you like YA, there's a new blog with about 15 YA authors called TEEN SHIVER that I am a part of! if would be awesome if you stopped by there too and followed us! :)

  6. I chose Twilight too, and so did a lot of other people, so don't cringe! I get so ticked off when people want to dog on the books. Everyone likes something they need to get over it! LOL!

  7. I love finding new details you didn't find the first time around, which is why I really really want to reread the Mortal Instruments Series! Great answer :)

    Here's my FF!

  8. Wow! 7 times?! Really? For a series that's pretty impressive! I might have read my two standalones 7 times though back when I was still in middle school!

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

  9. Hopping through. I've only read Twilight as a whole a few times, but I re-read my favorite portions all the time.

  10. Happy Follow Friday!

I hope you will stop by and check out our twitter event going on today!

  11. I've only read the first book of Mortal Instruments and so far I really like it! Old follower! :p

  12. Twilight is just one of the things it's cool right now to "hate." Something else will come along and the hate hipsters will jump on that bandwagon, too. :P

I have only read Twilight so far, but I really want to finish out the series!

  13. I don't like Twilight, but neither do I like much paranormal romance so I'll leave that be. I think when you just love a series, you can never admit to yourself that it ended. You keep going back to it as if to suggest it is stilling happening and you can still enjoy it.

And 7 TIMES?!?! That, at least, deserves commendation!

I love comments! If you leave a link back to your blog, I will check it out! No spam, please. Rude and insensitive comments will be deleted.
