Teaser Tuesday May 8

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
·         Grab your current read
·         Open to a random page
·         Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
·         BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
·         Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

My tease this week comes from Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell (quote is from a digital ARC therefore may differ from the published version):

"There was something deliciously romantic about slipping into shoes that had walked another time and place, something powerful about bits of leather that had survived more than half a century. What stories these shoes could tell if only they had a different sort of tongue."

Leave a link to your Tuesday Teaser in the comment section and I will stop by and check it out!

  1. I really love this teaser. Stepping into those shoes must have been like getting an old book from the library and wondering who else has turned its pages over the years.
My teaser is from Deadly Pleasures.

  2. This character sounds very passionate! However, I'm personally not a big fan of wearing another's, especially a stranger's shoes (haha). Great tease! Thank you for stopping by my TT earlier.

  4. Interesting teaser. This could be said of any old object.

  5. Hummm. I love vintage clothing, but I'm not so sure about used shoes. LOL. Here's my teaser

  6. Great teaser and yes sometimes an object you don't give much though oh if it could only talk.

  7. Ha! Nice! This kind of tease sounds familiar, what with shoes telling stories and all. But I really can't think of where I think I might have heard it...oh well! :)

    Here's my Teaser

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  8. I love shoes, but not enough to walk in someone's old ones... lol

  9. Hi!
I am now a follower!Do you think you could follow my blog? :)

  10. So true. I think that same sentiment about old objects all the time.

  11. This is a great teaser! Not at all what I thought would come from a book with that title. Might have to check it out now!

  12. Good teaser!

  15. Love your teaser, I am going to add this one to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Thank you for stopping by our blog and leaving a comment. I hope you'll come back tomorrow, read our interview with Mary Firmin, and leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of her book, Deadly Pleasures.

  17. I've heard of and read a lot of coming-of-age stories, but it's been awhile since I've seen an adaptation of the stereotypical "A/V club geek" tale. :) I don't think it's quite for me, but the teaser is nicely written, and it'll be interesting to see reviews when the final book is released.

Check out my teaser from The Seer and the Sword!

I love comments! If you leave a link back to your blog, I will check it out! No spam, please. Rude and insensitive comments will be deleted.
